While Bollywood is often known to seek inspiration from various other outlets, sometimes we look back to the past for inspiration. With David Dhawan all set to recreate the iconic 'Oonchi Hai Building' and 'Tan Tan Tara' for Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu-starrer 'Judwaa 2', here is a list of few Bollywood songs that are reinvented versions of the old chartbusters.

Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor grooved to a recreated version of Humma Humma in 'OK Jaanu'. This version is a recreation of Hamma Hamma song from the 1995 Tamil film 'Bombay' and this song was also dubbed in Hindi as Ek Ho Gaye Hum Aur Tum.
03/11Laila Main Laila
Starring Sunny Leone in the film 'Laila Main Laila' from 'Raees' was an instant hit. This peppy number was a remake of the popular Zeenat Aman song 'Laila O Laila' from the film 1980-hit 'Qurbaani'.

The title track of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Raabta', this titular song featured Deepika Padukone looking sensual in a black cage dress. This number is a recreated version of romantic track Raabta from the 2012 film 'Agent Vinod' starring Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

Actress Urvashi Rautela sizzled onstage in the recently recreated version of Saara Zamana in 'Kaabil'. The latest version was picked from the 1981 film 'Yaarana', where Amitabh Bachchan grooved to the song dressed in a light suit.

Featuring the much-loved onscreen pairing of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, this song from 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' was an instant hit. This song was a tribute to the original version from the 1990 film, 'Thanedaar' that starred Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt.
07/11Aaj Jaane ki Zid Na Karo
The recreated version of 'Aaj Jane Ki Zid Na Karo' featured actors Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan grooving in a nightclub. The original Aaj Jane Ki Zid Na Karo was featured in the Pakistani movie 'Badal Aur Bijli' and was covered by Asha Bhosle.
08/11Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le
This original song by Ilaiyaraaja was recreated by Amit Trivedi for 'Dear Zindagi'. The rehashed version was picturised on Alia Bhatt and the original was a part of Sridevi and Kamal Haasan-starrer 'Sadma'.
09/11Gulabi Aankhein Jo Teri Dekhi
The recreated version of the song had an EDM twist and was a dance number as compared to the original number. The recreated version was from 'Noor' and was picturised on Sonakshi Sinha. The original number starred Rajesh Khanna and Nanda, and was a part of 1970-hit, 'The Train'.
10/11Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast
Starring debutantes Mustafa Burmawalla and Kiara Advani the rehashed version of 'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast' is the part of film 'Machine'. The original song was in the 1994 film 'Mohra' and featured Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar.
