It's been a while that we've been waiting to see Saif Ali Khan's daughter, Sara Ali Khan, make her debut on the big screen. However, we might have to wait a little while longer for that to happen. The makers of 'Kedarnath', the film in which Sara will make her debut, seem to have postponed the film's release from June 2018 to the year's end.
The shoot has been extended owing to an important sequence in the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer. 'Kedarnath' is a love story set amidst the devastating floods that hit Uttarakhand in 2013. And the sequence is set to be shot in Mumbai depicting the natural disaster. A source close to the film said, "The makers felt that the sequence deserves a grander canvas. So, they have decided to recreate the town of Kedarnath in Mumbai. The set will be erected by February next year. Abhishek (Kapoor) intends to wrap up the sequence by June. This has, in turn, pushed the release".
The film will also be bringing in a Los Angeles-based VFX team to ensure that the magnitude of the disaster is well depicted. "Gallons of water will be used to create the flood effect. The sequence will be high on VFX", adds the same source. Producer Prernaa Arora has confirmed that the film will be a challenging shoot.
The pairing of Sushant and Sara seems to be a rather interesting one, aside from the plot and we can't wait for the film's release.
