Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will be sharing screen space for the first time in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus project ‘Padmavati’. Deepika will be seen playing the titular role of Rani Padmini, whereas Shahid will play the role of her husband Raja Ratan Rawal Singh. Adding onto the cast is Ranveer Singh, who will play the role of shrewd ruler Alauddin Khilji. The cast has already begun shooting for the film.
The film being one of the most anticipated, everything that happens on the set becomes newsworthy. And so, one hears that Shahid has asked director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to do away with a few intimate scenes in the film. Apparently, the actor is not comfortable getting intimate with Deepika.
A source close to a leading daily revealed, "Though they play husband and wife they won’t have any lovemaking scenes in the film, let alone a kiss. Shahid who is newly married wasn’t comfortable with the intimate scenes as he didn’t know how Mira will react. He and Bhansali had a chat and decided to do away with some really steamy scenes that were planned."
Well, one hears that SLB is okay to do away with Shahid and DP's intimate scenes. And there are no intimate scenes between Ranveer and Deepika either. Well, say whatever, this film will face fewer problems with the Censor Board at least!
