Salman Khan, who is currently busy shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Tiger Zinda Hai' alongside Katrina Kaif, has taken an active interest in Katrina's career. According to reports, Salman has recommended Katrina's name for the lead part in Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan's, 'Thugs of Hindostan'.
A source close to the project revealed, "Salman wants Katrina to play the heroine opposite Aamir Khan in Thugs of Hindostan and hence, he gave her name as a suggestion to the production house. He has already put in a word as he feels that Thugs will be the perfect film for Katrina to be in after Tiger Zinda Hai. Both the films will obviously give a boost to her career and that’s what the actor wants. However, everything now lies in the hands of Aditya Chopra and Aamir Khan, who will decide on which actress will be a part of the movie.”
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and starring Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, 'Thugs of Hindostan' is certainly one of the biggest projects of the year. While Aamir is currently undergoing prep for the film, the female cast is yet to be locked in. If reports are to be believed, Alia was approached by Aamir to be a part of the project but she rejected the role. While names like Vaani Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh are said to have been considered for the part, there has been no confirmation yet.
