03/5Kashiyatra

Kashiyatra

Kashiyatra is being practiced in south Indian weddings where the groom has to get up in the middle of the marriage ceremony, refusing to marry the bride so that he can give up all the pleasures in life and attend kashiyatra. This doesn’t end here, once the groom starts walking away, the father of the bride has to chase, beg and cry to him for agreeing to marry the bride. Why can’t the in-laws follow the same? We are still looking for answers!

Manglik

Kundali and dosha play crucial roles in an Indian wedding. Manglik is one such concept, measured by one’s birth details where the man marrying a Manglik woman is said to have ill marriage and life that can cause his death as well. Answer to the situation? Get the bride married to a tree or even a dog to clear her dosha or faulty horoscope. However, a Manglik man doesn’t require to follow these norms, he can simply marry another Manglik girl to clear his horoscope. If this isn’t a double standard, we don’t know what else is!
