Avoid a high-fiber or a high-fat meal before the run and also make sure your carbohydrate intake is in place if you plan on a long run. But know that keeping yourself hydrated is very important. Even while you run, you need to consume water or any sort of energy drink as you tend to lose a lot of body fluid through sweat.

Running on a treadmill isn't wrong or bad, but it gets boring and can make your run shorter. You can hence make the choice to run outdoors so that yiu tend to run more.
