No matter which salon you go to we're sure you've gotten at least one bad haircut in your life. Either the style will completely be off or the length will be weird or that one particular thing you'd asked for won't be there. Now, you can be mad at the stylist for messing up your hair but once the damage is done, there's no point in crying over it. Instead, what you need to do is try to work around your haircut and try things a little differently. “If you have to avoid a bad haircut, the stylist has to be a good listener. The stylist must listen to the client, what they want, and if they feel a style won’t suit her, recommend styles according to their hair texture and face shapes,” says one hair stylist. Here are some tips that will help you.
02/8Try hair extensions
Just because you have a haircut you don't like doesn't mean nothing can be done about it. If it's too short to get it changed you can always opt for hair extensions. They'll come as a welcome change and help you rock your hairstyle. Alternatively, you could also just opt for a wig.
03/8Hair accessories to the rescue
You have no idea how handy bobby pins can come in when you need to style your hair. Say you don't like the way your new haircut frames your face, you could just pin your hair back using bobby pins. You could also opt for other hair accessories to take attention away from your hair and put the focus on the accessories instead.
04/8Research different hairstyles
One thing that could really help would be to do some research on how you can sport different hairstyles for your haircut. Maybe you could braid it a certain way or opt for some particular hair styling tool to help style your hair in different ways.
05/8Try different partitions
Say you always part your hair at the side because that's the look that flatters your face the most. While that's alright with the style you were looking for, now that your haircut is weird why not try different partitions? Flip the sides or opt for a middle parting instead. It really could work wonders for your hair.
06/8Don't mess with your hair for one week
Let your hair grow for at least one week before you decide to do something with it. Your hair should be 2.45 millimetres longer at the end of one week so by then if your haircut still isn't settled or you don't like how it's turning out you can head to the salon yet again to get it styled differently.
07/8Opt for a curling iron
You'll be amazed at what heat styling tools can do for you. Try and opt for a curling iron since they work the best at different styles. You could add deep curls to your hair or you could just opt for smooth waves instead. It'll help change your look and you might end up even liking your haircut.
08/8Use different hair products
You could also use styling products like hair mousse and hair gel to style your hair in a certain way that you think flatters your look the most. Alternatively, you could also use serums and leave in conditioners to tame your hair.
