Mango, more fondly known as 'Aam' is undoubtedly the king of fruits. And with the summer season upon us, it's almost time for the mango season to hit too. Not only do mangoes taste fabulous but they also contain a lot of nutrients and vitamins that can work wonders for your health and so they make for the perfect fruit for the summer season. What's more, mangoes can do some amazing things for your hair and skin if you use them right. So, here are some DIY mango recipes that'll give you gorgeous hair and glowing skin.

02/6DIY mask for brightening skin
For this fabulous skin brightening mask, you need 1 ripe mango, 1 teaspoon yoghurt and 3 teaspoons fuller’s earth. Start by blending the mango into a pulp and then add the other ingredients to it and mix well. Turn it into a thick and consistent paste. Once done, apply the paste all over your face and neck and let it sit for at least 20 minutes. Wash it off with cool water.
03/6DIY mask for acne-prone skin
For this mask, you'll need 2 tbsp of mango pulp, 2 tbsp. curd, 2 tbsp honey and 1/2 tbsp lemon juice. Add all these ingredients to a bowl and then mix them well to form a thick, consistent paste. Apply the paste all over your face and neck and let it sit for a good 30 minutes. Once done, wash your face with cold water. Do this at least thrice a week.
04/6DIY mask to improve skin texture
For this face mask, you'll need 1 tbsp mango pulp, 1 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp. of besan and 2 tbsp. grounded almonds. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and then apply the paste to your face. Let it sit for about 30 minutes and then rinse it off with a mild cleanser. Opt for this mask at least once a week.
05/6DIY mask for damaged hair
This hair mask requires 2 tbsp mango pulp, 2 eggs and 1 tbsp curd. Take a bowl, pour all the ingredients in and give them a good mix. Apply the mixture to your hair and scalp and let it sit for at least 45 minutes. Wash it off using cold water and shampoo. Opt for this mask once a week.
06/6DIY mask for shiny hair
For this hair mask, you'll need 2 tbsp. Mango pulp and 2 tbsp olive oil. Mix these two ingredients together in a bowl and then apply the mask to your hair. Let it sit for 30-45 minutes and then rinse with shampoo, followed by conditioner. This is another mask you can try once a week.
