Anushka Sharma who recently graced the cover of the Indian edition of Elle magazine opened up about how the fact that she started modelling at an early age affected her. She said: “I started modelling when I was 15, and I was acting by 19. It’s a very raw time to be subjected to rejection and people’s opinions about everything you do. This, while you’re trying to wrap your mind around this new work, this new world that you know nothing about. Once I began to understand what was making me anxious, I wasn’t anxious anymore.”
She also revealed that she echoed the fact that she agrees with Meryl Streep that women are better actors because they act all their life. She added that I was reading Meryl Streep’s biography and there’s a part where she says the reason women make better actors is because all their lives, they've had to act to make people listen to them. We’ve all got to find our way to take part in the conversation. I do it by choosing strong roles.
