Madame Tussauds' London team flew down to Mumbai to take specific measurements and photos of the actress in order to make the life-sized figure. The wax figure will go on display later this year. Varun Dhawan is the youngest celebrity from Bollywood to have a wax figure at Hong Kong's Madame Tussauds. The actor said this was one dream that he has always had since childhood and he is happy to see that it is coming true now."It is a massive honour. Actress Madhubala's wax figure inspired by her legendary character 'Anarkali' from the film 'Mughal-e-Azam' was unveiled by Madame Tussauds, Delhi. Madhur Brij, the sister of the late Bollywood actress, was present to be part of the launch. "We are overwhelmed to know that Madhubala's figure would be part of the Madame Tussauds Delhi. This figure would allow her admirers to cherish the golden era of cinema and once again see her beauty. We are extremely thankful to the Madame Tussauds team for creating such a beautiful depiction of Madhubala," said a very emotional Madhur Brij, who is the younger sister of Madhubala. The figure has been created beautifully by the artists of Madame Tussauds. In the words of Petra, the studio specialist, it involved tremendous research which included meeting the family members and studying the photos and videos available of the celebrity. There were many artists who worked for over six months to create the figure of the actress with fabrics and accessories sourced from India and put up beautifully by artists abroad.

Anil Kapoor has a wax statue in Singapore and it looks very similar to the actor. The wax model will be there for his fans to have a look at and get themselves clicked with. The wax statue of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has joined along with other famous personalities at the Madame Tussauds in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. It was unveiled in London. Dressed in Modi's trademark cream-colored kurta and sleeveless jacket, the wax figure. The statue cost £150,000 (Rs 1.5 crores each) and took four months to be made. PM Modi said, “What can I say? As far as art is concerned, the Madame Tussauds team is exceptional at what they do. What Lord Brahma does normally is what the artists there are doing. In October 2004 a wax figure of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was put on display in London's Madame Tussaud's wax museum. She was the sixth Indian and the second Bollywood personality—after her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan—to get this honour. In 2007 the same figure was displayed at Madame Tussaud's Museum in Times Square in New York. As her most distinctive physical features, Rai's green-blue eyes, luscious lips, sexy curves and ultra-feminine mannerisms have been cited by the media as her trademark. While Aishwarya is now married and a mother too, her wax statue draped in a saree, reminds of her yesteryear days.

Sachin Tendulkar became the first Indian sportsperson of the world-famous Madame Tussauds wax museum, with a life-size wax statue of the master blaster being inaugurated on his 36th birthday. The statue had been formally launched by Tendulkar in Mumbai on April 13, who had exclaimed "it was so real, it was fantastic! I'm glad it doesn't breathe." Amitabh Bachchan is the first Bollywood star to be immortalised at London's Madame Tussauds wax museum in 2000. Not only this, his wax statues were placed in New York in 2009, Hong Kong in 2011, Bangkok in 2011 and Washington, DC in 2012 and Delhi, in 2017.. According to an official statement, for the first time in the wax museum’s history, Bachchan was nominated by fans in a global online poll. The Government of India awarded him with the Padma Shri in 1984, the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
