Alia Bhatt : Ranbir is observant, Ranveer is crazy, and Sidharth is special!

Alia Bhatt made her big Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year' alongside Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. She then went on to sign multiple films with Varun and Sidharth, and is soon to work on a films with Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. In a recent interview with a leading daily, Alia opened up about her equation with these young actors.

02/9Alia on her work relationship with Ranveer Singh
"Yes, I have already shot with Ranveer a few times (in ad films and videos), which is way more than what I’ve done with Ranbir. Ranveer is just crazy. I have a complete blast when I am working with him, since he is so mad that you can’t help but ask, “Listen, are you okay? All’s good in the hood?” because this isn’t normal behaviour. But that’s what I love about him: that he is so out there with his enthusiasm. And it’s all real and nothing is made up, which is why I feel people connect with him and love him so much."
03/9Alia on working with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Dragon'
"Ranbir, on the other hand, isn’t like that, as he is way more into his performance and art. He doesn’t say much, silently observes, and is very relaxed about the whole thing. I have always been a Ranbir fan, since Saawariya (2007). So it’s a very big deal that I am working with him."
04/9When asked if her relationship with Sidharth Malhotra is fact or fiction
"I think it’s ‘faction’. I now have a new term for this. When people use the word ‘rumour’, I am like, ‘Kahaan ka rumour? Woh ho gaya. Abhi woh rumour bhi nahi hai; woh purana ho gaya hai’ (What rumour? That has become old now. Now, it doesn’t even qualify as rumour). Earlier, [news] stories would call us ‘rumoured lovebirds’. Now, they don’t even use the word ‘rumour’; so, media calls us just ‘lovebirds (laughs).’"
05/9Alia on often being spotted with Sidharth Malhotra
"There’s no denying that I do spend time with him. So, I am not going to say that, ‘Oh, I wasn’t spotted with Sid’. I was seen and I am okay with people spotting me there. I am very happy going to parties with him and being spotted at lunches with him. But I do the same thing with my other friends as well and spend time with them too. But Sidharth is and will always be special. That goes without saying."
06/9When asked if she is used to all the talks about her and Sidharth
"It has become very blah. It has become like second nature to me. It sounds the same as something like, ‘Alia Bhatt is 24 and she lives in Juhu’. I don’t think of it as news anymore. It is like, haan, woh toh kab se pata hai (yeah, I’ve known that for a while). It has become a fact of sorts for everyone (smiles)."
07/9When asked about mother Soni Razdan hinting a relationship between her and Sidharth
"I think what she meant to say — in a holistic manner — that, ‘even if she was dating Sid, why I should have a problem.’ There was a point when I used to find this piece of information interesting because I was like, ‘wow, they are talking about it.’ Then, there was a point when I used to find it irritating, and then it stopped affecting me at all. Now, it has reached a point where it’s not even information anymore."
08/9On why she feels Varun Dhawan is shy
Alia, during the promotions of 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania', had said, " Since these days I go with Varun for promotions, I have got to know him in and out. He has so much fan following and whenever girls scream his name or even come to kiss him, he becomes all shy. Varun is the shyest person you will come across."
09/9Alia on getting to work with Shah Rukh Khan
When I got to know (about starring with SRK in 'Dear Zindagi'), I wasn’t really surprised, but glad. You have to see the way he is on the sets. He’s the most cooperative and present actor I’ve worked with. He’s there in the moment — all the time. The way he deals with people, it’s unmatched. He’s always there to give cues to his co-stars and he’ll do it properly. One thing that really irritates me is when actors don’t give cues properly and that happens to me a lot. I just hate it. And I will land up shouting at most of the boys that ‘Give your cues properly otherwise don’t talk to me or go, sit somewhere else’."
