In what can be termed as the shortest season of 'Koffee With Karan' with just twenty episodes, the fifth season of this iconic chat show was indeed awesome! While there were many who dubbed the season as flaky and superfluous at best, this season did give some memorable moments involving our favourite celebrities! 02/12When Shah Rukh taught us this wonderful term - 'demotional'!
After skipping a season Shah Rukh Khan was back on the couch for the fifth season, which he opened with Alia Bhatt. Be it when SRK read the popular nursery rhyme, 'Mary had a little lamb' a la Arnab Goswami or when he impersonated Alia Bhatt, the first episode was littered with great moments. However, what takes the cake was when SRK aptly called the youth of today as 'demotional' - detached yet emotional!
03/12When Varun Dhawan's Marathi left everyone in splits
Bosom buddies, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor shared an extremely chill chemistry which translated very well onscreen. The two not only showcased great bromance but also, revealed embarrassing anecdotes of each other. However, the best part was when Karan asked the two of them to enact a scene and change language midway. While Arjun easily switched to Punjabi midway, Varun fumbled a bit with Marathi and kept on saying 'Kay zhala re tula bhaiya?' throughout the act!

In what can be labelled as the casting coupe of the year, Karan Johar got two powerhouse actors, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh to make an appearance together. While the episode gave us a glimpse of both the actors unplugged, Ranbir Kapoor stole the show with his wit and candour. While Ranveer Singh stayed mum about his relationship status with alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone, recently single Ranbir had a lot to say about relationships. Talking about being single Ranbir said, "Being single is boring, lonely and sad. If you want space and all, you should join NASA."
05/12When Sohail Khan redefined the meaning of 100th episode!
Peppered with no-holds-barred conversation, the 100th episode of 'Koffee With Karan' was indeed 'Khantastic'. It was the first time that all the three Khan brothers made a television appearance together, and it was definitely worth the wait! The three brothers spoke about everything from growing up together to sharing their underwears to Salman's single status. While the brothers agreed that Salman should NOT get married, they kept on teasing each other about their romantic relationships. However, the best part was when Sohail redefined the meaning of the 100th episode by calling Salman one and Arbaaz and himself zero!
06/12When Aamir revealed the trick to getting close to him!
Aamir made his second appearance on the couch this season and was accompanied by his 'Dangal' daughters, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. While the actor spoke about his competition in the industry and how he is in awe of Amitabh Bachchan, the actor also blew us away with his honesty. During the rapid fire round, when Karan asked Aamir to rate the actresses as hot or not, Aamir refused to rate married actress saying, “accha nahi lagta yaar, shaadi shuda auraton ko aise bolna”. However, the best part was when quizzed about how should a girl get close to Aamir, the actor smiled and said, "just get close to me, I will do the rest."
07/12When Anushka Sharma spoke for all the girls in the world!
After managing to get two leading actors to share the couch, Karan got Katrina and Anushka to make a joint appearance on the show. While the pairing was a shocker in itself, what shocked people further was Katrina Kaif's sense of humour! Both the actresses were at their goofiest, craziest and wittiest best, which send the host Karan Johar on the brink of a meltdown. While Anushka chose to stay mum about her love life, when Karan asked her if she thinks that Katrina should date, Anushka quickly replied, "Only if she wishes to!"
08/12Shahid and Mira's 'pillow talk'!
In what can be described as the most romantic episode of the season, Mira Kapoor made her Koffee debut with husband Shahid Kapoor. Proud parents to Misha, Shahid and Mira instantly redefined relationship goals with their adorable appearance. Showcasing her fun side, Mira did not shy away from making fun of Karan Johar. While playing the game 'pillow talk' Karan requested the couple to indulge in a little less PDA but taking a go at Karan, Shahid and Mira did just the opposite!
09/12When Kareena spoke about actresses going to Hollywood
Kareena is a 'Koffee' regular and made her fifth season appearance in all her pregnant glory. While Bebo's bump did add an aww factor to the episode, it was also the fact that Kareena and Sonam were to make an appearance together. As host Karan Johar himself admitted, both the actresses are spirited, fiery and motormouth in their own right! From gossip to witty remarks, the ladies did not stop at anything! When asked to comment on comparisons between Priyanka and Deepika, Kareena quipped, “They are now in Hollywood. Everyone is taking a bus to Hollywood now!”
10/12When PeeCee hoped that her mother did not see the episode!
Unlike the other episodes this season, Priyanka Chopra's Koffee episode was all about catching up and chit-chatting between two friends. While Priyanka was the only guest to grace the couch solo, her witty banter and remarks made up for the lack of company. While the whole episode was great, the best part was when Karan and Priyanka indulged in a round of scandalous koffee shots! Well, though a little TMI, but by the end of the round, we all certainly knew all more about Karan and Priyanka!
